Leaders are Managers, but managers are not necessarily leaders

Leaders are Managers, but managers are not necessarily leaders

Leader do not require any managerial position to show his leadership and then he or she inevitably become a manager. Thus bureaucratic manager is not being a leader every time.

                                                Figure 1: Leader (Schwantes, 2018)

Leadership culture emphasizes rationality and management. Whether his energy is focused on goals, resources, organizational structure, or people. The manager is a problem solver. The manager asks, "What problems need to be resolved and how can we get the best results so that people can continue to contribute to this organization?" Managers need many people to work efficiently at different statuses and levels of responsibility in order to carry out their duties. You don't need a genius or a hero to become a manager. Perseverance, tenacity, diligence, intelligence, analytical skills, and perhaps most importantly, tolerance and mercy (Zalesnik, 2004).Thus a Leader is heroic character among either team or in the organization.

Subordinates leave the Managers not the organizations, this happen merely due to the poor leadership of the management. The trained and experienced labor is always an asset to the developing organization.

When the business/organization is grown workforce will be inclined this would not ease to the top of management and consequently top management should careful to appoint appropriate leaders at required stages to achieve their certain goals. Many reputed organizations and mangers doing various strategic approaches to sort out these issues, they develop their own leadership skill or empower the leaders as middle level managers. People don’t want to manage they hate management because it convince too much of control. They want to be led. (Zimmerman, 2016)

A leader can guide to group of individuals to achieve the ultimate goal but manager still a facilitator. Consider a simple military analogy. The peacetime army can usually survive with proper management, the moves up and down the hierarchy, coupled with good leadership and the is concentrated at the top. During the War Army however, requires competent leadership at all levels. No one yet understands how to effectively lead people into battle. Competent leader shall be guided for the victory. (Kotter, 2001)

Final Word

Leaders are not defined by their position in the hierarchy, but by their attitude to define them, their ability to guide and inspire others. Young employees have more leadership skills than a boring CEO who doesn't have the ability to run a business properly. In fact, it is not uncommon for leaders to lack leadership. These people can often rely on others to take over their leadership role, or they can ultimately ruin the organization because of their incompetence. Many government or semi-governmental organizations around the world have been hurt by this dilemma. Such monopoly organizations often lack top management leadership, which makes the organization inefficient. These organizations find it difficult to survive as a result of competition with the private sector. Quick glances Transport sector, Aviation system in the country, Several Utility services etc. and many effective government organization vanished due to poor management in the recent past. Most of higher management of those government organizations are politically appointed and those Managers floundered during their jurisdiction due to poor leadership and ruined, by remaining questions to all.
