Introduction

Today many human resource departments in companies are used many ways and means for the recruitments.

E-recruitment, often known as online recruiting, is the process of finding, attracting, interviewing, and hiring new employees utilizing cloud-based recruitment tools, web-based resources, and other technology (Singh, 2020). E-recruiting is cheapest and rapid method to find the candidates for the selected vacancies. Moreover management can make an easy decision to select the best candidate out of larger pool.

LinkedIn is a largest social networking site for the business and professional community which facilitate for the e-recruiting, and there are many popular job hunting sites in the web. For instance, Totaljobs, Trovit Jobs, Resume-Library, neuvoo.co.uk. are several E-recruiting facilitators would guide how to connect employer and candidate.

With using latest technology such as laptops, smart phones, tablets a candidate can search and apply for the jobs anywhere in the world. Most employment website have been developed their mobile app for the easy access of applicants.

 

E-recruitment elements

·       Provide information by employer’s website on job openings and collects data for the same.

·       Candidate standing in relation to the positions he/she has applied for

·       Employer can be swiftly reach to the candidates through social media.

·       If applicant not qualified for the advertised profession, website ask to store the resume and details in talent pool for the immediate next vacancy by same employer or similar vacancy by different institution.

·       Online testing, evaluation and interviewing possibility through internet.

·       Job vacancies straight off display on candidates email inbox, if subscribed in advance.

Advantages of On-line recruitments

·       Posting jobs in real time and managing that have already been advertised.
·       Profiling the ideal candidates.
·       Validating a candidate's abilities, credentials and find the appropriate applicant using resume databases.
·       Keeping in touch with the candidate till the job is done

 

Disadvantages of On-line recruitments

·       Some candidates may be hesitant to submit an online application due to concerns about security. It's always possible that the application system will run slowly or lose data throughout the submission process.
·       Possibility of receive fraudulent application to organization website and utilize by spammers.
·       Organizations should be extra cautious when using e-recruitment because it generates a large number of applications every day. Scouts should regularly ensure proficiency and avoid hiring inappropriate applicants, such as those who reside too far away from the workplace (www.peoplehum.com, 2021)
·       Country barriers may restrict the short listing of applicants, if selected candidate lives in a different part of the world.

Conclusion


On the whole, the effect of technological change on the world economics has retransformed the communication among the people around the world. Contemporary organizations are using information technology and digital world as a platform to carry out many activities. E recruiting another application of itself.

Despite vested benefits, some challenges also associate with this concept. E-recruitment is a trend to new world and it is a sign of a global village and it will be continued to expand. Benefits and drawbacks shall be controlled by HR managers sand strengthen the catchment area bounds up to whole world.

  5. E recruitment is a popular fact when recruiting candidates. And its really easy to communicate with the candidate. Can quickly validate the abilities by the education qualifications. Can select the ideal candidate by e recruiting. As well as there are some disadvantages too. High possibility of receiving fraudulent applications. And will lose the ability of meet the candidate face to face. And sometimes candidates hesitate to adapt to new technology therefore organisation will lose to recruit the best candidate
